How Built An App in 1 Week And We Grew from 0-250 Sign Ups, and 43 Customers in 1 Week w/ Meta/Reddit Ads
Learn how to build and launch a SaaS app in 7 days, from initial failures to achieving 250 sign-ups and 43 customers in one week using Meta and Reddit ads.
** NOTE: I may not qualify as per your description!! - I’m not a technical person - I understand how the app was built, the technologies used, and the rough framework, but I have my CTO in San Francisco and our team of 3 devs in Sri Lanka who know the exact info! I can walk through very openly how it’s built at a high level, but don’t know the nitty-gritty. Based on your description, I likely won’t qualify, so don’t hesitate to exclude me !! I am not technical, I can walk through what we did technically at a high level but that’s the most of it. I just thought if I was at this event, this would be an interesting thing to learn. **
I would love to present the backstory of how we built 6+ apps, they all failed but then from that, we learnt so much to get to the point where we were able to build a fully functional SaaS within 7 days. We broke each app that we built into repeatable frameworks for auth, the app logic itself, hosting, db, etc. so that we could get apps live within 2-3 days to test them. We built so many apps here that all failed (we may go back to them!), including, niyoz.co,
focusgate.io,
inboxclarity.io,
fubuu.com,
dabu.ai,
padelbuddy.ai,
grammaticgenius.com etc.)
From this, we spent 2-3 months doing them, and then we failed so much, we came up with a repeatable framework where we could launch apps super quickly… within 48-72 hours to get a fully functional app.
Then we optimised our team around this, where we hired 1 full-time team member to just work on the logic / app of softwares that we were building, then we hired another full-time team member to only work on the front-end and design, and we had our senior engineer working on only refining the system where we can launch apps faster and faster.
We did this, and launched so many apps that all failed, technically they were fine, but I failed on the marketing side… until, we built phonicsmaker.com that gave me a lot of confidence in the app.
So I pushed myself to sell it, I started off with reddit ads, just keeping it super basic and simple, and saw, we got a signup! then tried meta ads, and saw that we were getting signups for ridiculously cheap ($15-20 free 7-day trial start), ($3-$5 cost per sign up).
And that’s been working really well, we’ll see how it goes
–» in the presentation, I would love to just talk about how we did it super fast, from failing, and how the ads/marketing side went where I can share my screen as I go through the ads manager on meta/reddit and the ad creatives that I made using the new 4o image gen, just how I went to market.
